How to Become a Volunteer

Volunteer with Us: Make a Difference in Patient Care

At the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, we believe that volunteers are essential to creating a compassionate, healing environment for our patients, their families, and the entire community. By dedicating your time and skills, you can help us enhance our care and services to those who need it most.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at our hospital is not just about giving back; it's about making a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families. Whether it's offering a comforting smile, providing directions, or assisting staff in various departments, your efforts play a critical role in delivering the best care possible.

As a volunteer, you’ll:

  • Support patients and their families during challenging times
  • Develop valuable skills in healthcare and patient care
  • Be a part of a dedicated, compassionate team
  • Gain personal fulfillment through helping others

Requirements

To ensure the best experience for both our volunteers and our patients, we have a few basic requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Complete a volunteer orientation and training program
  • Undergo a background check and provide necessary health documentation

No prior experience is necessary; we provide all the training you’ll need!
